1. Acceptance of Terms

By using TalkBuddy (the "Service"), operated by WayJet LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TalkBuddy is an AI-powered English learning application designed for travelers. The Service provides pre-built travel scenarios, AI conversation practice, text-to-speech, pronunciation assessment, and learning progress tracking.

3. User Accounts

You may use TalkBuddy without an account. Creating an account enables cloud sync of your learning progress across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the source code
  • Abuse AI features (e.g., excessive API calls, content generation for non-learning purposes)
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Interfere with the Service's infrastructure

5. AI-Generated Content

Some content in TalkBuddy is generated by AI using Google Vertex AI. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. The Service is intended as a learning aid, not a professional translation or interpretation service. Do not rely on AI-generated content for critical communications (legal, medical, etc.).

6. Intellectual Property

All pre-built scene content, UI design, and application code are the property of WayJet LLC. Your learning data (progress, saved phrases) belongs to you and can be exported at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

TalkBuddy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. WayJet LLC is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to miscommunication due to incorrect translations or AI-generated content.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
